What roll-off dumpster software has to do

Six jobs a roll-off operation lives and dies on, and how HaulHQ handles each one, from the yard to the invoice.

Roll off dispatch

Assign every drop, pickup, and swap to a driver and a truck on one board. This is roll off dispatch software: drag a job to a driver, they get the stop on their phone with one-tap navigation, and the board updates the moment a box drops or hauls. No whiteboard, no group text, no calling the yard to ask where the truck is.

Box and container tracking

Every roll-off box is a tracked container with a size, a status, and a location. HaulHQ is the box tracker your yard has been missing: know how many 20s, 30s, and 40s are on the yard, on a job, or overdue for pickup, in real time, without walking the lot to count.

Container inventory

When a container goes out, HaulHQ counts it out of your available pool automatically, so your online booking calendar never sells a size you do not have. When it comes back, it returns to available on pickup. Your inventory count stays honest without a spreadsheet.

Scheduling and rentals

Set delivery and pickup dates on every rental. HaulHQ reminds the customer before the period ends, and extensions and overages price themselves from your daily rate. Deliveries, pickups, and swaps all land on one schedule your whole crew can see.

Billing and payment

Invoice the second a rental is booked or collect a card in the field through Stripe, deposits and full balances both. Every dollar posts against the job, so the money in your account matches the boxes on your yard.

Tonnage and disposal cost

Log the dump weight on every haul and HaulHQ tracks your tonnage and disposal fees per container. You see the true cost of each rental, not just the revenue, which is what tells you whether the fleet is actually making money.

How it works

How roll-off software runs a box, drop to dump

One rental, followed all the way through, from the customer's tap to the review request after pickup.

  1. Customer books a box online

They pick a size and their delivery and pickup dates on your site. The price shows before they commit, and the booking lands on your board as a real job.

  2. Dispatch assigns the drop

You assign the delivery to a driver and a truck. HaulHQ pulls that container out of available inventory so nobody double-books your last 30-yarder.

  3. Driver delivers the box

The driver navigates to the site, drops the box, and marks it delivered with a photo. The customer gets a confirmation text.

  4. The rental runs

HaulHQ counts the days against the agreed end date and reminds the customer before it expires. Extensions and overages price themselves.

  5. Pickup, haul, and dump

When the rental ends, the pickup is scheduled, the driver hauls the box, and the dump weight is logged against the job.

  6. Invoice, payment, review

The final invoice reflects the rental, any overage, and disposal. The customer pays by card or link, the box returns to available inventory, and HaulHQ sends a review request automatically.

Common questions

Roll-off dumpster software FAQ

Roll-off dumpster software is the system a hauler uses to run a roll-off operation end to end: tracking which boxes are on the yard versus out on a job, dispatching drops and pickups to drivers, taking online bookings against real container availability, managing rental periods and overages, and invoicing the customer. HaulHQ does all of that from one platform for $0/mo to start, and handles junk removal too if you run it.

Yes. HaulHQ assigns every drop, pickup, and swap to a driver and truck on one dispatch board. Drivers see their stops on their phone with one-tap navigation, and the board updates live as boxes drop and haul. You run dispatch, container inventory, rentals, and billing from the same place instead of stitching a dispatch tool to a separate billing tool.

Yes. Every roll-off box is a tracked container with a size, a status, and a location. HaulHQ works as a box tracker for your yard: you always know how many of each size are available, on a job, or overdue, and the count updates automatically as boxes go out on deliveries and come back on pickups. No walking the lot to count, no spreadsheet.

Yes. HaulHQ is built for owner-operators and small fleets, not just national haulers. There is no monthly subscription, no per-user fee, and no minimum. You pay $1.50 per completed rental with your first 5 free, so a one-truck operation and a ten-truck operation both start at $0/mo, with unlimited drivers included.

HaulHQ costs $0/mo to start. You pay $1.50 per completed rental plus a 1.5% HaulHQ platform fee on card payments, on top of Stripe's own processing rate. All HaulHQ fees combined are capped at $149/mo per service type, and your first 5 rentals are free. No demo call required to see the price, and no per-user fees.
