Your website

Change how your website looks

Pick a theme for your HaulHQ site, try your colors on a live preview of your own page, and apply it, with Undo.

This applies to both workflows

What are the two workflows?

Your site comes in more than one look, called a theme. A theme changes how the site looks and nothing else: your words, prices, photos, pages and booking stay the same in every theme.

Where it is

Open Website and choose the Design tab. Each theme shows a small preview of your own home page. The one marked Live on your site is the one visitors see.

The themes

  • Default -- clean and light. The look your site has always had.
  • Yard -- bold condensed type on a dark background, with line drawings of a truck when you have no photos.

Themes come with the HaulHQ Website

Default and your colors are free on every account. Every other theme, Yard included, comes with the HaulHQ Website add-on. Without it you can still preview any theme on your own page; when you go to apply one, the editor offers the add-on instead. If the add-on ends, your site goes back to Default and keeps your choice, which comes back if you add it again.

Try a theme or new colors

  1. 1Press Customize on your live theme, or Preview on another one. On a phone the editor opens full screen.
  2. 2Pick a theme, then your Brand color (buttons, the header bar and the big title) and Accent color (your main Book button and small highlights). Pick a swatch, use the color picker, or type a hex code like #1E3A5F.
  3. 3Under Style, Yard lets you choose the top of your home page while you have no cover photo: Dark, with a drawing or Your color, with a pattern. Default has no extra options.
  4. 4Watch the preview. Switch between Phone and Desktop, and between your Home page and your Services page if you have one.
  5. 5Nothing changes on your site while you try things. Press Apply to my site, then Apply now, when you like what you see. Cancel or the close button throws the changes away.

Changed your mind?

Right after you apply, press Undo on the message at the bottom of the screen and your site goes back exactly as it was. You can also switch back any time from the Design tab.

If a brand color is hard to read text on, the editor says so. It never changes your color for you; a little lighter or a little darker usually fixes it.

Your colors are one setting: changing them here or under Colors on the Your HaulHQ Site tab changes the same thing.
