Your website
HaulHQ Website (the add-on)
Your site, your domain, your content. Hosted and maintained, for $39 a month: what the add-on adds to the page you already have, how it is bought, and who does what.
This applies to both workflows
What are the two workflows?Your site, your domain, your content. Hosted and maintained, for $39 a month. The add-on turns the one-page HaulHQ page you already have into a site: the same address, the same booking and quote machinery, plus the pages below. Nothing you set up is redone; the pages read from the same catalog, service area, reviews and photos.
The pages it adds
- Services -- and a page for each service you name.
- Dumpster Rentals -- your container sizes, each with its own page, booked the same way as on your home page.
- Locations -- every city you serve, with a map, and a page for each ADDITIONAL city you opt in. Your primary city's page is your home page, so it does not get a second one.
- FAQ, About and Contact.
- Privacy and Terms, in your own words -- these are never drafted for you.
Each page carries headings, lists, and a title and meta description of its own -- named for the page, your trade and your city until you write your own -- and the site serves schema markup, a sitemap and canonical URLs. That is what the site is, not a promise about where it appears.
A container with its own page elsewhere keeps it
If you have given a container a Detail URL on the Equipment screen, its card links to that page of yours and HaulHQ does not make one for it. Clear the field and the HaulHQ page takes over.
How it is bought
- 1Open Website and find the HaulHQ Website card.
- 2You need a payment method on file first; adding one charges nothing.
- 3Add it. It becomes a second item on your existing subscription -- one invoice, one card, $39 a month, outside the per-job fee cap.
Who does what
You edit and publish your own pages. We draft each page from the answers you have already given and the catalog you already keep; you read each draft, change what you want, and decide what goes live. The account owner and managers can edit and publish; dispatchers and drivers cannot. The three options that exist without the add-on are unchanged: Which website should I use? walks the free page, your own WordPress site, and the HTML embed.
Edit a page
- 1Open Website > Pages and press Edit beside the page.
- 2Or press Draft this page for me to have the page drafted from what you have told us about your business. It replaces the page's text and any photos you placed in it, keeps your featured image, and never publishes; on a live page it takes the page off your site until you publish again, and Undo last save brings them back. You can draft 10 times a day, and each page 3 times.
- 3Change the words. The toolbar has headings, bold, italic, bulleted and numbered lists, links and images -- nothing else, so every page stays readable on a phone.
- 4To add a photo, press the image button and pick one of Your photos -- job photos, your work gallery, products, your cover and team photos -- or Upload a new one. Describe what is in it; that description is required. Pick a size (Full, Medium or Small) and an alignment (None, Left, Center or Right); Left and Right let the text wrap beside it. To change a placed image, click it and use the size and alignment buttons that appear. On phones every image shows full width.
- 5Set the Search title and Search description if you want your own. Leave them empty and the defaults shown in the boxes are used.
- 6Press Preview to see the page at phone and desktop width. It shows your last saved version.
- 7Save. On a page that is already live, Save and update live page changes it straight away; Undo last save puts the version before back.
- 8Publish when it is right. One page at a time; Unpublish takes it down again, and it is never blocked.
To add a page for another city you serve, or for one service, use Add a page at the bottom of Website > Pages. A new page starts unpublished. A city page can go live once it has its own words and that city has job photos in your gallery; your primary city already has the home page. Draft this page for me works on a city page too: it writes from what you have told us about your business and the city's name, and nothing else about the city, so read it before you publish.
Common mistakes
"I added the add-on and my site looks the same."
The home page does not change. The add-on adds pages under it, and each one goes live only when you publish it. Look under Website > Pages for what is drafted and what is live.
"I saved a change to a live page and want the old version back."
Press Undo last save in that page's editor. It goes back one save only; a second save replaces what Undo can restore.
"Two of us edited the same page and my save was refused."
The page was saved by someone else after you opened it. The editor names who; reload to see their version, then make your change again. Neither save is lost silently.
"Is the $39 inside my monthly fee cap?"
No. The cap covers per-job fees. The add-on is a flat monthly item on the same invoice, on its own.
"Can I use my own domain with it?"
The pages live on your HaulHQ address. A domain you own can be forwarded to it; if you need your domain in the address bar with pages of your own, that is still WordPress.
