Which website should I use?
You have three options and one of them is already live and free. The real question is whether you need WordPress at all, so here is the honest answer.

What are the two workflows?Most operators arrive here assuming "my website" means WordPress. It does not have to. If you finished onboarding, you already have a live website that takes bookings, and a good number of operators never need anything else.
The short answer
Start on your free HaulHQ page. It is enough to start taking jobs today. Move to WordPress when you have a specific reason -- your own domain, multiple pages, or a real intention to publish content. Commissioning a website you did not need, getting no leads from it, and concluding the product does not work is the outcome this page exists to prevent.

When WordPress actually earns its keep
- You want your own domain. This is the honest headline reason. Your HaulHQ page lives on a
haulhq.appaddress and cannot be moved toyourcompany.com. - You want more than one page. Service pages, city pages, an about page with real depth.
- You intend to publish content. The more you invest in writing, the more the SEO surface of a site you own is worth -- and that compounds, so it matters more the longer you do it.
- You already have a WordPress site. Then the question is not which to use; it is which shortcodes go where.
Be honest with yourself about the third one
A WordPress site earns its keep through content and links, and both take sustained work. If nobody is going to write the pages, a WordPress site is a more expensive version of the page you already have -- with hosting bills and updates attached.
Both at once is fine, and common
These are not exclusive. Plenty of operators run a WordPress site as their main presence and keep the HaulHQ page as the thing they paste into a text message or a Google Business Profile. The booking flow is the same one either way, so a job booked on either lands in the same place.
Common mistakes
"I need a website before HaulHQ is useful."
You have one. Finish onboarding and yourname.haulhq.app is live, takes bookings, and can be linked from your Google Business Profile, your truck, or a text message. See Your HaulHQ page.
"The free page is just a placeholder until I build a real site."
It runs the same quote and booking flow the WordPress plugin embeds -- it is the same product, on one page instead of yours. What it cannot do is use your domain, carry more pages, or host a blog.
"I will point my domain at my HaulHQ page."
Not supported today. Tenant sites are served on yourname.haulhq.app only. If your own domain matters, that is the reason to use WordPress -- see Your WordPress site.
"I am paying for the $20/month website add-on."
You are not, because it does not exist yet. If you are paying anyone for a website it is your own hosting or your own developer. See HaulHQ Website.
