Plugin settings

The four tabs on the Settings > HaulHQ screen in WordPress -- Connection, Shortcodes, Styling and Cache -- and the editor blocks that come with plugin 1.7.2 and later.

The plugin adds one HaulHQ screen to your WordPress admin, under Settings, with four tabs.

Connection

Your API key, and a Test Connection button that says Connection successful! API key is valid. when it works. Get the key from the WordPress tab of Settings > Website in HaulHQ -- use the copy button, since a hand-selected key is often truncated and fails identically to a wrong one. The same tab holds the chat widget switch (Enable chatbot widget on frontend pages) and its position, bottom right or bottom left.

Below the form, Connection Status answers a different question from Test Connection: not whether the key is valid, but whether this site is registered with HaulHQ, which is what lets HaulHQ clear your site's cache when you change a price. Green means it is. Red names the reason the last attempt failed and offers a Connect now button; saving the settings again also retries. Registration happens on its own when you first save the key, so most sites never see the red state.

Connecting also switches on form integration: submissions from Gravity Forms, WPForms and Contact Form 7 forms on the site are sent to HaulHQ as leads, with no further setting. Which field labels the plugin recognises, and the REST endpoint for other form builders, are on Form integration.

Shortcodes

Every shortcode with a copy button, its attributes, and a live preview builder. It documents the same attributes and defaults as this site -- both are checked against the plugin code by the test suite, so they cannot disagree.

Blocks, if you use the block editor

Every shortcode is also a block. In the editor, open the inserter and search for HaulHQ -- they sit in their own category, with the same options as the shortcode attributes in the sidebar and a live preview. A block and its shortcode render identical output, so use whichever your page editor prefers; a shortcode inside a Classic block keeps working exactly as before.

Styling

A Use default HaulHQ styles switch, and a color for the call-to-action buttons and their text. For anything beyond that, the tab points you at your theme's Additional CSS in the Customizer.

Cache

The plugin caches what it fetches from HaulHQ so your pages stay fast. If you changed something in HaulHQ and your site has not caught up, press Clear Cache Now here. That is the answer to almost every "my change did not show up" question. It clears your Equipment, form and tracking data; the two gallery shortcodes keep their own short-lived cache and catch up on their own.
